On August 4, 2013, Katie Lentz was nineteen years old and on her way to church near Center, Missouri when she was struck head-on by a drunk driver leaving her car and her body severely mangled. Suffering from several broken bones and internal injuries, Katie asked each person who came to her rescue to pray out loud for her. It took over two hours to rescue Katie from her car as some of the equipment failed.
An hour into the rescue process, a priest from a nearby town came to pray with Katie and stayed with her for the second hour. Katie attributes her safe rescue and complete healing to the power of prayer. Katie believes it kept her calm during the horrific experience. She also believes the power of prayer kept her from death and serious permanent injuries. Her survival was considered a miracle.
